Immaculee Ilibagiza will host a retreat at St. Patrick Church
PROVIDENCE — Immaculee Ilibagiza will host a retreat at St. Patrick Church, on Saturday, March 27, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. This retreat includes Immaculee’s witness of the power of prayer, miracles of the Rosary and inspirational music. No one will leave this retreat the same as when they came. The capacity is limited to 90 people. Please register at www.immaculee.com. Stations of the Cross at St. Romuald Chapel
SOUTH KINGSTOWN — All are welcome to attend a unique experience of the Stations of the Cross as seen through the eyes of Mary, taking place every Wednesday until March 31 at 12:30 p.m., at Saint Romuald Chapel, 61 Atlantic Ave., in Matunuck.
Curbside clam cakes and chowder
PAWTUCKET — The Knights of Columbus will host curbside clam cakes and chowder on Fridays during Lent, from 5 – 7 p.m., on Norfolk Avenue, behind St. Cecilia School. Call in your order Monday - Friday before 5 p.m. by leaving a message at 401-573-5596. All orders are curbside delivery. All proceeds to benefit Knights of Columbus charities. This event is sponsored by the Pawtucket Knights of Columbus Councils: Delaney - St. Teresa Council # 57 and St. John Paul II Council #12613. The event will be canceled if a parking ban is issued in Pawtucket due to inclement weather.
Knights to host Lenten Fish Dinners
PORTSMOUTH — Father Christopher S. Rooney Council Number 3618 of the Knights of Columbus will host take-out Lenten dinners at St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, on Friday, March 26 from 5 – 8 p.m. The menu includes baked fish, coleslaw, clam chowder, rice pilaf, roll and dessert. Meals will be served by drive up only: a runner will take your ticket and bring your meal out to you. Please note: Tickets must be purchased at least one day in advance and are available at the offices of St. Barnabas, St. Anthony’s and the Senior Center. No tickets will be sold at the door. Easter Ham and Candy Drop
PAWTUCKET — The Little Sisters of the Poor humbly request donations for their annual Easter Ham and Candy Drop at Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main Street. On Saturday, March 27, the Sisters will gratefully accept your generous offering of hams which will be prepared for Easter Sunday dinner and for resident meals throughout the year. Easter Candy is also appreciated. The Little Sisters will enjoy seeing you and social distancing protocols will be in place to accept your donation. St. Theresa Shrine to offer fish ‘n’ chips dinners during Lent
NASONVILLE — St. Theresa Shrine, 35 Dion Drive, will offer a fish and chips dinner on the Fridays of Lent. The dinners will include a large or small portion of fried fish, coleslaw and rolls. The dinner will be available from 3 – 7 p.m., for take-out only. Pick up will be in the church hall on a first-come, first-served basis. Social distancing will be maintained.

ASL interpreted Masses schedule for Holy Week at St. Patrick Church

PROVIDENCE — The Office of the Apostolate with People with Disabilities and the Ministry for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing invites you to the following ASL Interpreted Masses at St. Patrick Church in Providence. Mary, Mother of Mankind announces Lenten schedule
NORTH PROVIDENCE — All are invited to Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., every Monday during Lent for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 6 p.m.; Rosary at 6:30 p.m.; Confession 6-7 p.m.; Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m.; and Benediction at 7:30 p.m.
Chowder and Clam Cakes at St. Agnes
PROVIDENCE — St. Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will open the kitchen in the church hall on all Fridays in Lent (except Good Friday) to provide chowder and clam cakes from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. There will be no dine-in, but takeout can be ordered, and there will be curbside delivery in the parking lot. Call in your order ahead of time each Friday by phoning 401-338-2567. When you arrive, come in and pick up your order or call that number again when you arrive, and someone will bring your order to your car.
Annual Stations in the Streets
NARRAGANSETT — St. Thomas More Parish invites the community to take part in Stations in the Streets, held on Good Friday, April 2, noon, at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St. The cross of Jesus will be carried through the streets of Narragansett as a re-enactment of Jesus’ final journey to Calvary. Attendees will walk outside via Ocean Road along the sea wall and under the Narragansett Towers. This is a rain or shine event. All are welcome to join. For more information visit stthomasmoreri.org.
Radio station to broadcast religious programming on Good Friday
WOONSOCKET — Radio station WNRI-1380 AM, will dedicate the three hours from noon until 3 p.m. on Good Friday, April 2, to devotional hymns, Bible passages and instructional commentary. Father John A. Kiley, Woonsocket native and columnist for the Rhode Island Catholic diocesan newspaper, along with program host Roger Bouchard, will offer commentary on the Passion account from the Gospel according to St. Mark and on the history of the fourteen Stations of the Cross. Persons of all faiths are encouraged to share this afternoon of recollection.
Divine Mercy Novena and Divine Mercy Sunday
BRISTOL — Bristol Council 379 of the Knights of Columbus is sponsoring both a Divine Mercy Novena and a Divine Mercy Sunday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol. The Novena Program will take place starting on Good Friday, April 2 and end on Saturday, April 10 with the participants saying the prayers on their own Easter Sunday. The Novena prayers will be added after the recital of the 6:30 a.m. Rosary during the weekdays and the 8:30 a.m. Rosary on the Saturdays, April 3 and 10 and the Divine Mercy Sunday Program will take place on April 11 with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 2 p.m. as well as confessions, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited at 3 p.m. All are welcome and invited to attend.
Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition at St. Pius V
PROVIDENCE — During the Lenten Season, St. Pius V Church will host the International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles designed by Blessed Carlo Acutis, who was beatified October 10, 2020. Before his death in 2006 at age 15, Acutis designed a presentation of over 130 Eucharistic miracles approved by the Church. St. Pius V Church is open daily from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. to view the exhibit. Please note that weekday Masses are at noon, Saturday is at 8 a.m., and the weekend Masses are Saturday at 4:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. The last day to see this display is Palm Sunday, March 28. No Neighbor Left Behind program seeks diaper donations
WARWICK — St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Knights of Columbus Council 12821 is collecting new packages of disposable diapers in the gathering space on March 27 after the 4 p.m. Mass, and Sunday, March 28, after the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses. Diaper sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are in greatest need. This event is part of the Knights of Columbus on going “No Neighbor Left behind” series for 2021. All diaper donations are going to Warwick’s Trudeau Center to support local families and clients with intellectual and physical disabilities.
