In honor of the Feast of St. Francis, Deacon Scott Brown offered blessings upon the members of the Providence Police Mounted Command and visiting mounted commands from other New England states. The annual Blessing of the Animals commemorates the upcoming October 4 feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment.
