Bishop Thomas J. Tobin installed Father Scott J. Carpentier as pastor of St. Brendan Parish, Riverside, on Sunday, Aug. 22.
During his homily, Bishop Tobin extended his prayers and sincere best wishes to the new pastor. “This is a very special blessed and happy occasion,” said Bishop Tobin. “The installation of a new shepherd is a significant moment for the priest himself and for the whole parish community. I know that he is going to be a wonderful pastor and wonderful shepherd for this outstanding parish community. This is a significant moment for the parish as well. I pray that God will continue to bless your parish community as he has in the past and bless you in the future with abundant gifts and graces and blessings.”
