As the new school year begins, Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., has been busy traveling throughout the state celebrating Mass for local students and visiting the many Catholic schools in the Diocese of Providence. On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the bishop started his day with the Saint Cecilia School community in Pawtucket and then toured the school with Kelly Caton, principal, and Father Stephen Battey, pastor. Students were all smiles and eager to welcome the newest bishop of Providence. Since 1912, Saint Cecilia School has provided a Catholic education which fosters intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth.
