PROVIDENCE — Robert Murray, CFO of Gilbane Inc., presented a check for $10,000 on behalf of the company to Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., in support of the diocese's 2025 Catholic Charity Appeal.
“We're grateful for Gilbane making the Catholic Charity Appeal a success,” the bishop said.
The annual Appeal raised $7 million this year to support its vital outreach ministries. It is the third consecutive year that the Diocese of Providence has surpassed $7 million in gifts through the campaign, which celebrated its centennial this year.
“In our 100th anniversary of the Catholic Charity Appeal, it is especially fitting that we can thank the Gilbane Company Inc., a business with a rich history of more than 150 years in Providence and located right next door to our Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul. Their commitment to supporting the work of our Catholic Charities through the years is greatly appreciated.”
