Little Sisters of the Poor share special connection with Archbishop Christophe Pierre during his visit to the Diocese of Providence

The Little Sisters of the Poor attended the Solemn Mass for the closing of the Diocese of Providence’s 150th anniversary year and had a special opportunity to meet and visit with His Excellency Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America, at the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul, Providence. It was a special encounter, indeed, as Archbishop Pierre is a native of France and grew up in the village of Saint-Servan, the same village of St. Jeanne Jugan, foundress of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Archbishop Pierre told the religious sisters that he makes an annual retreat at the motherhouse La Tour St. Joseph.
