Local Girl Scout Honored

Avary Rocha, a third grade Brownie from Little Compton, has successfully completed the requirements for the Girl Scout “Family of God” pin and badge. The purpose of this award is to help the Scout explore a wide range of activities and discover the presence of God in her life as a member of her family and parish. Avary obtained her workbook and guidance through the Diocese of Providence’s Office of Catholic Youth Ministry, and received her award from her pastor, Father Stephan A. Silipigni, during a recent Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Little Compton. The “Family of God” program is available for all second and third grade Brownies.
