PORTSMOUTH – St. Philomena School students recently participated in the bi-annual International Dance Festival presentation as part of the K-8 music curriculum at the Portsmouth school which is organized by music teacher Cecilia Heredia.

The children are dressed in native attire and perform dances to music indigenous to several countries—China, Mexico, Ireland, Africa, Sweden and more. Under the direction of Zumba teacher, Joanna Lovendale, students in grades six and seven performed the Salsa and Tango.
