CENTRAL FALLS – Project Hope/Proyecto Esperanza, a social service agency of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence, has announced the move of the long-time Central Falls-based agency to a new site, which will be located at 474 Broadway in Pawtucket to better serve its clients.

The move will be effective on June 23, with a grand opening planned for July 1.

In making the announcement, James Jahnz, the agency’s coordinator, commented: “The new location of Project Hope/Proyecto Esperanza will enable us to improve and expand the wide array of services offered by this important ministry of the Diocese of Providence. This move will also allow us to better serve our client base while providing us a unique opportunity to better respond to the needs of the community while maintaining an accessible location for our clients. In addition, the move will allow us to work more closely with the local parishes in order to expand their outreach efforts in the neighborhoods.”

The centralized location of the agency will be within walking distance for a number of its clients. It is also serviced by RIPTA Bus Line 77 and is close to Route 95.

Project Hope/Proyecto Esperanza provides a number of services to Blackstone Valley residents, including Dire Emergency Assistance, Adult ESL Classes, Citizenship Classes, Community Advocacy, Income Tax Preparation, and Immigration Assistance. The ministry is funded through grants from the Catholic Charity Fund Appeal (CCFA). Supported by generous Catholics throughout the state, the CCFA’s resources are used to support a variety of agencies and programs that meet the spiritual, educational and social needs of our sisters and brothers in Rhode Island. These programs offer assistance to people of all races, creeds, and backgrounds and are often an essential lifeline to the people who are served.

Project Hope/Proyecto Esperanza’s phone and fax numbers will remain the same. They are (401) 728-0515 and (401) 728-2330 respectively.
