WAKEFIELD — Four outstanding seniors at The Prout School have been recognized by the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program for their exceptional academic achievements.
Evan Reineke and Grace Jelinek have been named National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists, while Gianni DeCubellis and Julia Smith earned the distinction of Commended Students. All four members of the Class of 2026 are enrolled in Prout’s rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program, the most challenging and rigorous academic curriculum offered at the school. Prout was the first high school in Rhode Island to offer IB and is now just one of two high schools in the state that offers the program.
Notably, The Prout School is one of only two Catholic high schools in Rhode Island to have National Merit Scholarship semi-finalists this year—a testament to the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.
