WEST WARWICK — Raymond J. Valliere, 86, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 31, 2025 while surrounded by his loving family, and beloved wife of 65 years, Jeanne P. (Brouillard) Valliere.
Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Eugene and Ena (Laforce) Valliere.
Born with a strong work ethic, Raymond worked many jobs throughout his career. Most recently, he worked in the Maintenance Department for Kent Hospital, Warwick, from where he retired. He also worked at Narragansett Brewery, the former P.V. Bus Lines, and was a CDL Truck Driver. In his spare time, Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family, his morning and neighborhood walks, and cruise vacations throughout Europe and the Caribbean. Raymond and his wife Jeanne were active longtime parishioners of St. Gregory the Great Church.
Ray was the loving father of Deacon Steven R. Valliere of St. Mary’s Church, Cranston, Susan J. Vachon, her husband Roland, of Warwick, and Michael R. Valliere of Rye, New Hampshire. Grandfather of Lauren L. Russell (Robert), and Bryan P. Vachon. Brother of the late Robert J Valliere. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held June 4 in St. Gregory the Great Church, Warwick. Burial and committal prayers followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Warwick.
