PAWTUCKET — Coming off its centennial anniversary celebration, Saint Raphael Academy will host its first Athletics Hall of Fame on January 10, 2026. The Athletics Hall of Fame is a new tradition honoring the extraordinary achievements of our outstanding student-athletes and coaches. This prestigious recognition celebrates alumni athletes who achieved tremendous athletic success and statewide accolades while students at Saints.
During the school’s 100-year history, Saints has had many amazing student athletes whose contributions to their chosen field of play have been acknowledged and rewarded. The first class includes 20 people who have positively contributed to the Saints athletic legacy. Senior Athletes (1924 - 1950) to be honored are: Ray (Buzz) Elkas ’47, Steve Fallon ’37, Robert (Cy) Killian ’44, Stan Koslowski ’43, and Omer Landry ’32. Athletes (1951 - 2015) to be inducted are: Krysten Addison ’91, Shannon Bracken-Bellew ’95, Bob Brooks ’66, Katie Costigan-Barry ’99, Jackie Fournier ’00, Hassan Hammed ’96, Chris Iannetta ’01, Kayleigh Lotti ’05, Chris Magill ’90, Felix Ramos ’96, T.J. Sorrentine ’00, Charley Sweeney ’66, Bryan Tamul ’93, and Keith Woodman ’94. Also to be inducted is longtime coach Tom (Saar) Sorrentine.
The Athletics Hall of Fame’s members will be permanently recognized with a display in Alumni Hall, where it will serve as inspiration to all students at Saint Raphael Academy—past, present and future—and will be a historical record of those Saints who came before us and the positive impact they have had on others.
Nominees were chosen based on their athletic accomplishments, or unwavering dedication to Saints athletics at the school. Nominees are eligible for nomination 10 years after their class has graduated and must be in good standing with Saint Raphael Academy, and in alignment with the school’s mission and within the community to be considered for the Hall of Fame. Letters of recommendation must also be submitted during the nomination process. The Saint Raphael Academy Athletic Hall of Fame will induct a new class every two years. A call for nominations will be made in 2026.
