The Legion of Mary, from St. Anthony Church in West Warwick, recently held a Rosary Rally, sponsored by America Needs Fatima (ANF), at the Majestic Gazebo in Artic. The event took place on Saturday, Oct. 12 in honor of the feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Many parishioners and friends from surrounding churches attended. Each year since 2007, ANF has held the Public Square Rosary Crusade, with thousands of rosary rallies in cities all across the country. In 2017, there were 21,570 rallies, and in 2018, there were 21,145 groups simultaneously praying, according to ANF. These Public Square Rosary Rallies take place on the closest Saturday to Oct. 13, the feast of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun. Besides the October Rosaries, many Rosary Rally Captains hold monthly Rosaries as well.
