Sister M. Lenore McAllister, IHM

SCRANTON, Pa. — Sister M. Lenore McAllister, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton.
She was born on November 23, 1922, in Syracuse, NY, and given the name Eleanor Cecilia. She was the daughter of the late Frank Bernard and Anna King McAllister. She entered the IHM Congregation on February 2, 1941, and made her temporary profession of vows on August 2, 1943, and her final profession of vows on August 2, 1946.
Sister McAllister taught at many schools over the course of her ministry, incuding at St. Paul Elementary School in Cranston, R.I., from 1974 to 1978.
From 2006 until the time of her death, Sister Lenore was a prayer minister at the IHM Center and at Our Lady of Peace in Scranton.
Interment was at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
