More than 40 guests shared a Thanksgiving meal at the diocesan Emmanuel House Shelter. Staff and volunteers served a traditional meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, vegetables, and cranberry sauce with assorted pies for dessert. Emmanuel House provides not only a safe place for the homeless to seek refuge, but also to obtain assistance in finding housing, employment or substance abuse counseling.
