PC to host Veritas Conference
PROVIDENCE - Providence College’s Fourth Annual Veritas Conference, hosted by the Humanities Program at Providence College, is scheduled for Saturday, April 26. This year’s conference is on the question of “Transcendence in the Modern World.” The conference is intended both to be intellectually engaging and to practically address the challenges faced as Christians in the 21st century. The day begins with 8 a.m. Mass at St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., and continues on the PC Campus in the Fiondella Great Room with speakers, breakout sessions, meals, and more. Divine Mercy Sunday at St. Timothy Church
WARWICK — Saint Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., will offer the following schedule for Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27: Confessions 1-4 p.m. (2 priests 1-3 p.m.); 1 p.m. Exposition followed by Adoration; 1:30 p.m. Holy Rosary; 2 p.m. Reflections on Divine Mercy; 3 p.m. — Divine Mercy Chaplet followed by Benediction; 4 p.m. Celebration of Holy Mass.
Divine Mercy Holy Hour
PORTSMOUTH — St. Barnabas Church, 1697 E Main Road, will hold a Divine Mercy Holy Hour on Sunday, April 27, 2:30 p.m. The Holy Hour will be led by Deacons John Silvia and Paul St. Laurent and will include the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, confessions, Litany to the Divine Mercy, Gospel readings, music, Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction. All are welcome.
Celebrating Divine Mercy at OLMC
BRISTOL — Our Lady of Mt. Carmel will celebrate Carlo Acutis along with the Feast of Divine Mercy on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27. The schedule is as follows: April 26 — 8:15 a.m. recitation of the Holy Rosary; 9 a.m. Holy Mass; 9:30 a.m. recitation of Divine Mercy Chaplet and Divine Praises in the Church; 10 a.m. exhibition of 60 Eucharistic Miracles as researched by Carlo Acutis; and more. April 27 — 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Eucharistic Miracles exhibit; 2-4 p.m. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with many priests available to hear confessions; 3 p.m. Recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Divine Praises.
