New support group for divorced and separated Catholics
CAROLINA — The Office of Life and Family is offering a new support group for divorced and separated Catholics at St. Mary Church, rectory (downstairs, side entrance), 437 Carolina Back Road. The group is ongoing and will be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. There are no costs to attend. This support group embraces our Catholic faith and God’s grace, and provides a peaceful place for sharing, healing and for topics/discussions related to separation/divorce. Spring Rosary Novena
PROVIDENCE — Please join Servants of Christ for Life on Saturday mornings for the Spring Rosary Novena. Mass will begin at 8 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul followed by praying the Rosary at Planned Parenthood at 8:30 a.m. The last week of the Novena is on June 9. Life in the Spirit seminar at St. Charles Borromeo Church

Holy Spirit Church Annual Spring Festival
CENTRAL FALLS — Holy Spirit Church, the corner of Dexter and West Hunt Streets, will host its annual Spring Festival, on Friday May 4, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, May 5 from 3 to 11 p.m. The festival will feature a $2,500 money prize raffle and a giant penny social with many gifts for adults and children. There will also be games of chance, booths and other activities that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The kitchen will be serving hot dogs, beans, hamburgers, empanadas, tacos, French fries, drinks, cakes and dessert. Admission is free.

Gourmet Personal Pizza Knight
NORTH SCITUATE — The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Personal Pizza Party on Saturday, May 5, from 3 – 8 p.m. in St. Joseph’s hall, 144 Danielson Pike. They will have delicious cheese, pepperoni, meatball, sausage and white garlic pizza prepared. They are the size of a doughboy. You can also choose from a variety of other toppings to create your own pizza that will be ready in 10 minutes. Eat in the hall or take a couple boxes home. Free will donations are accepted.

Spring Flea Market to benefit parish social ministry programs
MANVILLE — St. James Church, 33 Division St., is hosting a Spring Flea Market on Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Father Brouillette Center. All proceeds will benefit St. James Parish Outreach Ministry and parish social ministry programs.

Annual May Breakfast sponsored by Holy Name Society at St. Anthony Church
NORTH PROVIDENCE — The Holy Name Society at St. Anthony Church will hold its annual May Breakfast on Saturday, May 5 from 8-11 a.m. in the St. Anthony Church Parish Center, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave. The breakfast will feature scrambled eggs, home fries, sliced ham, bacon, baked beans, breakfast pastries, orange juice, coffee and tea. Tickets are $8 per person, two for $15, and children 7 years old and under will eat for free. Final Five First Saturdays Devotion St. Augustine Church
PROVIDENCE — The last of the Five First Saturday devotions will be held on May 5. Since January, many parishioners of the St. Augustine family have taken advantage of the opportunity to complete the Five First Saturday Devotion. Devotions begin with the sacrament of reconciliation at 3:45 p.m. (continuing until 5 p.m.), the Holy Rosary in song at 4 p.m., meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary at 4:30 p.m., and Mass with Holy Communion beginning at 5 p.m. The message of Our Lady at Fatima has never been more relevant in our history. All are invited for this final First Saturday Devotion of 2018. We hope you will make every effort to attend this very beautiful and special devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary.

WARREN — St. Alexander Church, 221 Main St., will host a May Breakfast on Sunday, May 6 from 10 a.m. – noon. The menu includes eggs, sausage, ham, homemade home fries, waffle station, breads and muffins, fruit, juice, coffee and other items. Adults $10; Children $7 (12 and under). Knights of Columbus to host breakfast
NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus will hold a breakfast at the council hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road, on Sunday, May 6, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. The menu will include scrambled or fried eggs, sausage, French toast, home fries, baked beans, orange juice, coffee and tea. The cost is $10, children 6 and under are free.

Catholic Mom’s Group to meet
PROVIDENCE — The Catholic Mom’s Group will meet on Tuesday, May 8, 6 p.m. at Holy Ghost Church in Providence. The group is intended to provide support, friendship and the affirmation of the role of Catholic mothers. Attendance is free, but those interested in joining the group meeting must register in advance to attend. Children must also be registered online in advance. Appreciating the Feminine Genius
PROVIDENCE — On Wednesday May 9, at 7 p.m., St. Sebastian’s Church, 67 Cole Ave., will welcome Sarah Heaton to reflect on femininity and the unique gifts women bring to the world, as understood through the lens of Pope Saint John Paul II’s “Letter to Women.” Heaton has been associated with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, the Augustine Institute, Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women and is now the director of Enrollment and Marketing for the Diocese of Fall River Catholic Schools. She has spoken around the country about John Paul II’s writings on women. Refreshments will be offered.

Catholic Underground at St. Patrick Church
PROVIDENCE — Catholic Underground will take place at St. Patrick Church on May 12, beginning with holy hour and vespers at 8 p.m., followed by a performance by Revive! This is the last event of the season. Catholic Underground will resume September 8.

Discernment Retreat for Middle School Boys
PROVIDENCE — The Office of Vocations is hosting a discernment retreat on Saturday, May 12, at the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for boys to celebrate their faith and reflect on God’s plan for their life. The day will include Mass, recreation, food and an opportunity to meet diocesan seminarians and learn more about the seminary.
