ASL interpreted Masses schedule for Holy Week at St. Patrick Church
PROVIDENCE — The Office of the Apostolate for People with Disabilities and the Ministry for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing invite you to participate in ASL Interpreted Masses at St. Patrick Church in Providence during Holy Week. The schedule is as follows: Holy Thursday, April 1, at 7 p.m.; Easter Sunday April 4, at 9:15 a.m.
Radio station to broadcast religious programming on Good Friday
WOONSOCKET — Radio station WNRI-1380 AM, will dedicate the three hours from noon until 3 p.m. on Good Friday, April 2, to devotional hymns, Bible passages and instructional commentary. Father John A. Kiley, Woonsocket native and columnist for the Rhode Island Catholic diocesan newspaper, along with program host Roger Bouchard, will offer commentary on the Passion account from the Gospel according to St. Mark and on the history of the fourteen Stations of the Cross. Persons of all faiths are encouraged to share this afternoon of recollection.
Divine Mercy Novena and Divine Mercy Sunday
BRISTOL — Bristol Council 379 of the Knights of Columbus is sponsoring both a Divine Mercy Novena and a Divine Mercy Sunday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bristol. The Novena Program will take place starting on Good Friday, April 2, and end on Saturday, April 10, with the participants saying the prayers on their own Easter Sunday. The Novena prayers will be added after the recital of the 6:30 a.m. Rosary during the weekdays and the 8:30 a.m. Rosary on Saturdays, April 3 and 10, and the Divine Mercy Sunday Program will take place on April 11 with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 2 p.m. as well as confessions. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited at 3 p.m. All are welcome and invited to attend.
Divine Mercy celebration to be held at St. Pius V Church
PROVIDENCE—St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., will celebrate The Feast of Divine Mercy, Sunday, April 11. Adoration will be held from 2-4:15 p.m., during which time priests will be available to hear confessions. Healing Mass for the Loss of a Child
GREENVILLE — The Respect Life Ministry at Saint Philip Church will host a Healing Mass for pregnancy and infant loss. Parents, grandparents, siblings and family who grieve the loss of children from the causes of miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion and early infant death, are all invited. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Phillip Dufour on Thursday, April 29 at 6 p.m., at Saint Philip Parish, 622 Putnam Pike. Social distancing and mask-wearing will be observed. Seasons of Hope Grief Support Group
WESTERLY — Those searching for comfort, hope and peace after losing a loved one are invited to participate in six-week support group, Seasons of Hope. Each meeting includes prayer, Scripture reading and reflection, a video and discussion. Meetings will be held on Saturdays, May 1 – June 5, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St. To ensure everyone’s safety, group size is limited and face masks are required.
