First Friday Holy Hour at Chesterton Academy

Divine Mercy at St. Martha Church
EAST PROVIDENCE — St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Ave., will celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday, April 7. The schedule includes exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 2 – 4:30 p.m.; confessions from 2 – 3 p.m.; chaplet of Divine Mercy in song at 3 p.m., Rosary and Benediction 4 p.m., followed by Mass at 5 p.m.
Divine Mercy Holy Hour
PORTSMOUTH — St. Barnabas Church will host a Divine Mercy Holy Hour on Sunday, April 7. The Holy Hour will begin at 2 p.m. in the main church and will be led by Deacons John Silvia and Paul St. Laurent. The Holy Hour will include the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Litany to the Divine Mercy, Gospel readings, music, Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction. All are welcome.

PROVIDENCE — St. Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., will celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday, April 7, beginning at 2 p.m. The schedule is as follows: Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament 2 – 4 p.m.; Confessions (Spanish confessor available) 2:15 p.m.; Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary 2:45 p.m.; O Blessed Host Litany (composed by St. Faustina) 3 p.m.; Chaplet of Divine Mercy. 3:35 p.m.; Litany of the Blessed Sacrament 4:15 p.m.; Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament 4:30 p.m. Mass — Celebrant and Preacher: Father John Maria Devaney, O.P., Papal Missionary of Mercy. Following Mass, veneration of a first-class relic of Saint Faustina.
Divine Mercy at the Shrine
NASONVILLE — The Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive, invites everyone to come celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday on April 7, beginning at 2:45 p.m. Devotions include exposition, the chaplet of Divine Mercy and adoration. Afternoon of music at St. Thomas the Apostle Church
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will begin its first of a series of free afternoons of music on April 21. Gary James Farias will play outside on the lawn from 1-4 p.m. Bring your own chair or we will provide one for you. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks for the afternoon. There will be an opportunity to purchase tickets for a 50/50 split the pot, and raffle. If the weather is inclement, the event will move inside to the hall.
New England Regional Council of The Ignatian Volunteer Corps to Host Fundraiser and Award Ceremony
BOSTON — The New England Regional Council of the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) will host its annual Madonna Della Strada Award Ceremony and Fundraiser on Sunday, April 21, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at Boston College High School. Each year at the Madonna Della Strada ceremony, IVC New England celebrates members of the IVC community who have shown exceptional concern for those struggling with poverty, injustice, and isolation in their communities. This year’s honorees are Father Jonathan Slavinskas of Worcester, Sister Christine Kavanagh of Providence, and IVC New England Board Chair Michael McGonagle of Boston. The event is open to anyone interested in supporting or learning more about IVC New England.
