Venerable Patrick Peyton’s Memorial Mass
NORTH EASTON, Mass. — Annual Celebration of Venerable Patrick Peyton’s Memorial Mass will be held at Father Peyton Center, 500 Washington St., Saturday, May 31, beginning with 3 p.m. Rosary at the burial site and 4 p.m. Vigil Mass at St. Joseph Chapel. The Beauty and Truth of Catholic Teaching on End-of-Life Issues
COVENTRY — In this three-part series, Dr. Peter Colosi and other guest speakers will present the fullness of Catholic teaching on suffering, death, and dying, and explain the false premises of the euthanasia and physician assisted suicide movements, to better understand and carry out Christ’s mandate to care for the sick and dying in a manner that honors God and respects the dignity of persons. Three consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at Saints John and Paul Parish Center, 341 S Main St. The schedule is as follows: Tuesday, June 3: Catholic Teaching on End-of-Life Issues vs Euthanasia; Tuesday, June 10: The Catholic Perspective on End-of-Life Documents and Funeral Arrangements; Tuesday, June 17: A Catholic Understanding of Redemptive Suffering and Dying vs The Lila Manfield Sapinsley Compassionate Care Act. Light refreshments will be provided as well as plenty of time for Q&A. A free will offering will be accepted to offset the cost of this program. Msgr. Sabourin Vacation Bible Camp
PROVIDENCE — Msgr. Sabourin Vacation Bible Camp will be held Monday, July 14 - Friday, July 18, 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St. The camp integrates children ages 10 and up, and adults with disabilities who together learn about their faith.
