Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul to offer Eucharistic Adoration

Patriotic Concert to be held at St. Kevin Church
WARWICK — St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane Warwick, will welcome the 88th Army Band in a Patriotic Concert to be held at the parish on Friday, May 28 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. In-person audience attendance at the concert is welcome and will follow current health guidelines. The event will also be live-streamed on the parish website https://stkevin-stbendict.org. When on the website, select “Click to view a live-stream mass at St. Kevin Church. The concert pays tribute to military and first-responders, and is a great kick-off to summer.
Memorial Day Mass to be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery
BLACKSTONE, Mass. — On Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, continuing a long standing tradition, a public open-air Mass will be offered at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery on Farm Street, Blackstone, Mass., at 10 a.m., on behalf of all the faithful departed buried there. Relatives and friends are encouraged to bring a folding chair and to respect all coronavirus guidelines in effect on that date. Father John A. Kiley will offer the Mass and Wayne and Becky Kilcline will coordinate music and participation.
First Friday Lunch
PROVIDENCE — St. Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will hold a First Friday Lunch on Friday, June 4. Food will be available for takeout or curbside. Please call ahead (401-338-2567) on the Friday morning of June 4. Besides clam cakes, chowder and doughboys, the parish will also offer hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and fries. The kitchen will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Theology on Fire
NASONVILLE — St. Theresa’s Shrine will present Theology on Fire at the shrine grounds on Friday, June 4, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. There will also be a talk entitled “Meekness Is Not Weakness: The Spiritual Strength of the Third Beatitude,” by Father Jordan Zajac, O.P., visiting faculty in English at Providence College. The evening will include adoration and benediction followed by time for students and young adults to socialize. Theology on Fire is oriented toward high school upper-classmen, college students, and other young adults. Parents are welcome to attend with their students. Annual Global Rosary Relay for the Sanctification of Priests
PROVIDENCE — On Friday, June 11, the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, there will be a rosary for the Annual Global Rosary Relay for the Sanctification of Priests. St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 538 Broadway, will have Adoration throughout the day starting at noon, with a Rosary (sorrowful mysteries) at 5:45 p.m., and Traditional Sung High Mass at 7:30 p.m. Unite, pray the Rosary, and help encircle the world in prayer. This in-person event will also be live streamed.

St. Anthony Parish to hold annual feast
WEST WARWICK — St. Anthony Parish will host their annual feast on August 13, 14 and 15. The feast will begin Friday, August 13 at 11 a.m. with the sale of fish and chips dinners, with traditional events beginning on Saturday, August 14 at 5 p.m. On Sunday, August 15, Malassadas will be sold at 9 a.m., and Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. A procession will leave the parish grounds at 2 p.m. A variety of Portuguese and American food will be sold. Weekend entertainment includes DJ John Bolarinho, and on Saturday, a special appearance by the Portuguese band Starlight.
