Summer Hours at Gabriel's Trumpet Catholic Bookstore
COVENTRY — In appreciation for all that our volunteers do and to enable them to spend time with their families, Gabriel's Trumpet Catholic Bookstore will be closed beginning 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, and will reopen Tuesday, July 20 at noon.
St. Joseph Church to host indoor yard sale
PASCOAG — St. Joseph Church, 183 Sayles Ave., will host an indoor yard sale on Friday, June 25, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday, June 26, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and Sunday, June 27, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The sale will feature a wide variety of goods including toys, puzzles, clothing, crystal, pans suitable for campers, dishes, flatware, home decor, pots and planters and glassware. Beverages and food will also be available for purchase. The parish is handicap accessible.
St. Anthony Church to host Bingo night
WEST WARWICK — Bingo will be held in St. Anthony Church Hall, 1 Sunset Ave., on Friday, June 25, at 6 p.m. Participants must be 18+ to play. There will also be vendor shopping and a food sale. St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish to host flea market
WOONSOCKET — St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish, 174 Harris Ave., will host an indoor-outdoor flea market on Saturday, June 26, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The event will feature household items, linens, bed spreads, towels, clothes, books, toys and puzzles. Food will be available at the Polish - American Kitchen.
St. Thomas More Narragansett Summer Bible Program Announces Schedule and Topics
NARRAGANSETT — St. Thomas More Parish will host a Summer Bible Program in the parish hall on Tuesday mornings (July 6, 13, 20 and 27; August 3, 10, 17 and 24) from 9:45-11:15 a.m. The sessions will feature the following topics: July —The History of the Monarchy in Ancient Israel: Excerpts from the historical books of the Bible, 1 & 2; Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings. August — Women in the Old Testament and the New Testament: Reading texts. Maryann McCaffrey Knag, MAT MAR, a trained Catholic Bible scholar who teaches under the Magisterium, will lead the sessions. 2021 Quo Vadis Day Camp
PROVIDENCE — The 2021 Quo Vadis Day Camp will take place Sunday, July 25 – Wednesday, July 28 at the Seminary of Our Lady of Providence in Providence, 485 Mount Pleasant Ave. Quo Vadis is a camp for Catholic high school boys (from those entering ninth grade to those having just completed their senior grade year) to deepen their faith, learn more about vocations, and better discern God’s call in their lives. It is a time of recreation, fellowship, and prayer. Priests and seminarians from around the Diocese of Providence will be present to lead conversations and offer witness talks. Activities will include prayer, daily Mass, recreation (games/sports), group discussions, witness talks, a challenge course and more. Meals and snacks will be provided each day. Mass will be offered daily. Campers will also have an opportunity to pray the Liturgy of the Hours, the rosary, and attend Eucharistic Adoration.
