Portsmouth Knights to host the Silver Rose
PORTSMOUTH — The Knights of Columbus Council 3618 in Portsmouth will host a Silver Rose Prayer Service at St. Barnabas Church on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 9 a.m. Through the Silver Rose, the Knights honor not only Our Lady of Guadalupe, but reaffirm our dedication to the sanctity of human life.
National Day of Remembrance
RIVERSIDE — The National Day of Remembrance for aborted children and for all babies who have died due to miscarriage, stillbirth or illness will be Saturday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m., at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Guardian Angel Statue, 550 Wampanoag Trail. Come join in praying for the many lives lost and all those who are touched by them.
Knights to host yard sale
NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus will host a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the council hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road.
A Night of Music and Dancing
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church will host a dance on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. The music will be provided by the band “4’S Country.” The kitchen will be open and selling limited sandwiches and soft drinks. If you prefer, you may bring your own food and beverages of your choice. There will be an admission charge at the door, but coffee, tea, and pastry are included. A silent auction, and raffle will be held. If you can, please bring a pastry to share.
Mike Aquilina to visit St. Philip Church as part of diocesan anniversary celebration
GREENVILLE — As part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the Diocese of Providence, Mike Aquilina will speak on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 7 p.m., at St. Philip Church. Aquilina, a popular author of works on Catholic Church history, will speak on St. Joseph and His Work: The Life of St. Joseph.” Book signing to follow. Life in the Spirit Seminar
PROVIDENCE — A Life in the Spirit Seminar will be held at the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul, 30 Fenner St. Hosted by Msgr. Anthony Mancini along with Diane Costantino, this seven-week course will take place on Wednesday evenings, September 29 - November 10, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. No registration is required and books are provided, as well as security and parking. St. Francis of Assisi Church to host a pasta dinner
WAKEFIELD — St. Francis of Assisi Church will host a pasta dinner on Friday. Oct. 1. The dinner will be held in Father Greenan Hall, 114 High St., from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the dinner will be sold at the door. The event will feature many themed baskets and the St. Francis Grand Raffle.
