Bingo Night

St. Joseph’s Fundraiser
NEWPORT — St. Joseph’s Church, located at the corner of Mann Avenue and Broadway in Newport, will serve as one of the food vendors for Newport’s Broadway Street Fair on Saturday, Oct. 11. The event is a fun-filled afternoon of music, food, and local artisans from noon to 6 p.m. The family-friendly menu will include chili, hot dogs, mac & cheese, various home baked goods, along with Father Hiep’s famous spring rolls while they last. For those who want to park near St. Mary's, Maria's Cucina Restaurant, 447 Broadway, will have capacity for 50 cars.

PROVIDENCE — A free event sponsored by St. Ann’s Church will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, at 280 Hawkins St. The event, which begins on Saturday at 10 a.m. and ends on Sunday at 4 p.m., will include handmade items, a penny social, vendors, and food.
Fall Dance
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church will hold a Fall Dance on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the church hall. Gary James Farias will provide the entertainment for the evening, joined by a special guest. There is a small admission fee at the door which includes coffee, tea, and pastry. The kitchen will be open selling sandwiches, pizza, favas and chourico, and soft drinks. Attendees are asked to bring a pastry to share if they are able. There will be an opportunity to purchase 50/50 split the pot and raffle tickets, and a silent auction.
68th Annual Snowflake Bazaar
COVENTRY — Saints John & Paul Parish will hold its 68th annual snowflake bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the parish center, 341 South Main St. The bazaar will feature gifts, handmade crafts, baked goods, raffles, baskets, cows chip bingo, and twinkle town for children, with photos with Santa. Walk for Life
WESTERLY — The Walk for Life will take place at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm Street, on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event begins with the opening of Eucharistic Adoration, followed by a procession to St. Sebastian Cemetery, where a priest will lead a short prayer service at the Tomb of the Unborn. The group will then process back to the church for Benediction. Walkers are welcome to bring signs (not graphic).
