Public Rosary Rally
WEST WARWICK — All are welcome to join in a “Public Square Rosary Rally” on Saturday, Oct. 12, at noon (rain or shine) at Christ the King Church, 124 Legris Ave. Sponsored by the America Needs Fatima organization, in conjunction with the Legion of Mary at St. Anthony Church, this Public Square Rosary will be one of more than 20,000 rallies that will take place all across the United States. St. Joseph Church to hold fundraiser during Newport’s Broadway Street Fair
NEWPORT — St. Joseph’s Church, which is located at the corner of Mann Avenue and Broadway, will be a food vendor during Newport’s Broadway Street Fair on Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon to 4 p.m. The menu will feature chili, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, chips, and Father Hiep’s famous spring rolls. Bible Timeline Series at St. Pius V
PROVIDENCE — The Bible Timeline Series with Jeff Cavins (on DVD) will continue to meet on Tuesdays after the noon Mass at Saint Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., in the church hall. The workshop will begin at 12:45 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: October 15, 22, 29 and November 5, 12, 19 and 26.
‘Life in the Spirit’ seminar series

White Mass Celebrated for all Medical Professionals
PROVIDENCE — In honor of the solemnity of St. Luke the Evangelist, Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m., all doctors, nurses and all medical professionals are invited to attend the White Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, 244 Smith St. Father Joseph Brice, pastor, will celebrate this Mass. St. Francis de Sales Parish Yard Sale
NORTH KINGSTOWN — St. Francis de Sales Parish, 381 School St., will hold its annual indoor yard sale on Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., rain or shine. Items include jewelry, housewares, toys, games, electronics, CDs, furniture, books and baked goods. The kitchen will be open for refreshments.
Fall Dance
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave. will host a Fall Dance on October 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. There will be a small admission fee at the door which includes coffee and tea. The evening’s entertainment will be provided by 4’S Country/Deja Vu. The kitchen will be open, selling sandwiches, pizza, favas and chourico, and soft beverages. Take-Out Thursday at Holy Angels Parish
BARRINGTON — Holy Angels Parish will go retro and host a 1970s flashback during Take-Out Thursday, its final charity food sale of the year, on October 24. All are welcome to order from a carryout menu which offers modestly priced options of vegetarian lentil soup, chicken pot pie and polenta, along with apple pumpkin pudding for dessert. Ordering is open through Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m., and proceeds will benefit the efforts of the Holy Angels Social Outreach Ministry. Sacred Heart Bazaar
WEST WARWICK — The annual Sacred Heart Church Bazaar will be held at the parish, 820 Providence St., on Friday, Oct. 25 from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event will feature handmade trees, wreaths and many other crafts, a penny social with 35 prizes, roll-ups for children, a special raffle with televisions, bikes, and 12 large baskets. Other booths include jewelry, home goods, a wine booth and Mrs. Claus’ Attic. Pastry booths will have homemade Italian cakes and pastry with a large selection of cookie trays. Kitchen is open throughout the event with hot dogs, grinders, grilled cheese sandwiches, sausage and peppers, sloppy Joes, French fries and hot and cold beverages.
Retirement reception for local pastor
PORTSMOUTH — All are welcome to a small reception following each Mass on the weekend of October 26 and 27 to show gratitude for Father Daniel J. Gray, pastor of St. Anthony’s Church, as he retires from active ministry. Mass times are 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

EAST PROVIDENCE — Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Ave., will be host a Fall Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. – noon. COVENTRY — Our Lady of Czenstochowa Parish, 222 MacArthur Blvd, will hold a Holiday Bazaar on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Continental breakfast will be served from 8:30 -10 a.m., and Polish and American food will be served from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. until sold out. All Souls Day Procession with Statue of Our Lady
PROVIDENCE — On All Souls Day, Saturday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. starting at St. Mary Church, 538 Broadway, all are welcome to process with the statue of Our Lady, and to seek her intercession for our beloved dead. This event welcomes the participation of every Marian advocate. Bring your Rosary, your faith and your love for the Virgin Mary. The procession will conclude at the Cathedral of SS.
