Public Square Rosary to take place in Arctic
WEST WARWICK — All are invited to join in a Public Square Rosary on Saturday, Oct. 16, at noon, rain or shine, at the Majestic Gazebo in Arctic. This Public Square Rosary, sponsored by the America Needs Fatima organization in conjunction with the Legion of Mary of St. Anthony Parish, will be one of over 20,000 rallies that will take place all across the United States. Gloria Purvis to speak at Diocese of Providence 150th Anniversary event
PROVIDENCE — As part of the Diocese of Providence 150th Anniversary celebration, Gloria Purvis will visit McVinney Auditorium, on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m., to speak on “Born and Unborn: The Integrity of the Human Person in The Womb and Society.” Purvis, a national pro-life speaker as well as a radio personality and Catholic commentator, will speak on confronting enduring evils such as abortion and racism. Prior to the presentation, all are welcome to attend the Human Life Guild Mass for Life at 9:30 a.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Providence. Security will be provided. St. Pius X Walk for Life
WESTERLY — St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., will host the annual Walk for Life, on Sunday, Oct. 17, at noon. Gather at St. Pius X Church for a one-mile walk and brief prayer service at the Tomb of the Unborn at St. Sebastian’s Cemetery. For those unable to walk and/or would prefer to pray in silence, there will be Eucharistic Adoration at noon ending with Benediction. Blessing of Health Care Workers

Pro-Life Mass
SLATERSVILLE — A Pro-Life Mass to pray for those who have experienced abortion will take place on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St. This Mass will be offered for anyone wanting to show respect for life and receive healing. All men and women who are suffering from terminal illness, experienced miscarriage, abortion or loss of a child are welcome.
Annual Snowflake Bazaar planned
COVENTRY — Saints John and Paul Parish will hold the 64th annual Snowflake Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., in the parish center, 341 South Main St. The event will include a variety of holiday booths featuring gifts, jewelry, knitted items, religious items, sports memorabilia and more. The event will also feature many raffles and themed baskets. Children may also have their photo taken with Santa, make arts and crafts and play games. The kitchen will also be open for breakfast and lunch.

Immigration presentation
WOONSOCKET — The Social Justice Committee of Holy Trinity Parish will sponsor a presentation and discussion on immigration on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 9 - 10:15 a.m. The presentation will be led by Genesis Flores, a parishioner at Holy Trinity and an Immigration Case Worker in the Diocesan Office of Immigration and Refugee Services. The presentation will be held in the parish Hospitality Room. Also on the weekend of October 23/24, the Social Justice Committee is collecting kitchen and cooking items to help Afghan evacuees who are settling in Rhode Island.

PROVIDENCE — Saint Agnes Church, 351 Branch Ave., will hold a Novena for three evenings in honor of Saint Jude on Sunday, Oct. 24, Monday, Oct. 25, and Tuesday, Oct. 26. Mass and Novena prayers will be offered at 6 p.m. The theme of the St. Jude Triduum is “The Law of Prayer is the Law of Belief.” The raffle drawings will follow Mass on the last evening of the St. Jude Triduum.

Mother of Life Pregnancy Center to host annual Rose Gala
RIVERSIDE — Mother of Life Pregnancy Center will host its biggest annual fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 19, 6–10 p.m., at the scenic Squantum Association, 947 Veterans Memorial Parkway. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, sit-down dinner, silent auction, paddle raise, and brief, moving presentations by special guests sharing their pro-life stories. An Afternoon to Honor Mary and Jesus
PROVIDENCE — Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Legion of Mary in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul at 1 p.m. on November 21. All are welcome. The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff and devoted lay people in Dublin, Ireland, on Sept. 8, 1921, the Birthday of Mary. The celebration of the centenary will include exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a Holy Hour of Adoration and Benediction. A collation will follow.
