Parish bazaar and giant flea market
MANVILLE — Saint James Church, 45 Division St., will hold its annual parish bazaar and giant flea market on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Father Brindamour Church Hall (bazaar and kitchen) and the St. James School Building (flea market). The event will feature wreaths, centerpieces, handmade ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, crochet and knit goods, cakes, pies, fudge and cookies. There will be several raffles, a penny social, split-the-pot, gift certificates and gift baskets. The kitchen will be open all day. For more information, call 766-1558.
Remembering our Veterans at Christmas
WOONSOCKET — The Knights of Columbus Woonsocket Council, No. 1113, St. Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, is partnering with Big Blue Bug Solutions for OPERATION ROVAC, collecting brand new items to be distributed to 200 men and women at the R.I. Sacred Heart Church Christmas Bazaar
WEST WARWICK —The annual Sacred Heart Church Christmas Bazaar will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, from 12 - 7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. The event will feature arts and crafts, a penny social, roll-ups, jewelry, pastry, wine booth, special raffles and more. The kitchen will be open throughout with a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. Friday night will feature chowder and clam cakes.
Holy Trinity Parish Christmas Bazaar
WOONSOCKET — Holy Trinity Parish will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Msgr. Gadoury School Hall, 1371 Park Ave., which is handicapped accessible. The event will feature photos with Santa, gift certificates, themed baskets, special raffles, “Split the Pot,” and vendors with hand-knitted items, jewelry, crafts, Christmas decorations, homemade fudge and baked goods and much more. The kitchen will be open for continental breakfast and lunch.
St. Kevin Parish to hold Christmas bazaar
WARWICK — St. Kevin Parish will hold their annual Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Bishop Hendricken High School, 2615 Warwick Ave. Booths will include baked goods and sweets, handcrafted gifts and decorations, knit and crochet, Christmas décor and more. Free breakfast for veterans and first responders
LINCOLN — The Lincoln Council Knights of Columbus will host a complimentary breakfast for veterans and first responders on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 8 – 11 a.m., at the Columbus Club, 171 Jenckes Hill Road. This event is in honor of their service to our country and community, veterans, first responders and family members in the community are welcome to attend and will be served by members of the Knights of Columbus.
Holiday bazaar and flea market
NORTH PROVIDENCE — Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., will host a holiday bazaar and flea market on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 14, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event will feature jewelry, crafts, toys, a sweets table, gift baskets, and a grand raffle of more than $8,000 in cash prizes. Holiday bazaar to benefit St. Robert’s Food Shelf
JOHNSTON — A fundraising holiday bazaar featuring food, a straw game, raffles, a silent auction and many vendor tables will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Church Hall, 1804 Atwood Ave., on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit St. Robert’s Food Shelf, which provides food to all neighbors in need. Shrine of the Little Flower to welcome Catholic author
BURRILLVILLE — On Saturday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m., the Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive, will welcome Mary-Lea Carroll, author of “Saint Everywhere: Travels in Search of the Lady Saints” and “Somehow Saints: More Travels in Search of the Saintly.” The day will begin with reading and time for questions. Following the reading, both books will be available for purchase and signing. Mass of Thanksgiving
CRANSTON — The Diocese of Providence’s Office of Life and Family, along with Rhode Island Right to Life, Mother of Life Pregnancy Center and the Warwick Council Knights of Columbus invites the community to a Holy Mass of Thanksgiving offered for the closing of the Broad Street abortion clinic in Cranston. Public Square Rosary
WARWICK — The Warwick Knights of Columbus and the Legion of Mary will host a Public Square Rosary on the front lawn of the Warwick Knights of Columbus Hall, 475 Sandy Lane, on Nov. 13, at noon, rain or shine, so please bring chair and umbrella if needed. Regina Coeli Society collecting toys for Spirit of Giving Drive
CRANSTON — The Regina Coeli Society of St. Mary’s Church, 15 Phenix Ave., will be collecting toys for the Children’s Friend Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive from now until Nov. 14. Any new unwrapped toy can be dropped in the collection boxes at the entrance of the church. Children’s Friend provides services and support for Rhode’s Island’s most vulnerable youth and their families. The next meeting of the Regina Coeli will be held on Nov. 17, at 7 p.m., in the St. Mary Civita Hall. All members are asked to bring canned goods for donation to the food pantry.
Children’s New Coat and Toy Drive
CENTRAL FALLS — A children’s new toy and new coat drive will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 391 High St., November 13 – 21. All donations from infant to teen may be dropped off in boxes marked for donations in the vestibule during the following weekend Masses: Saturday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 14, at the 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses; Saturday, Nov. 20, at 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 21 at the 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses. Little Sisters request donations for annual Turkey Drop
PAWTUCKET — The Little Sisters of the Poor humbly request donations for their annual Turkey Drop at Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main St. Each day from November 14-20, between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., the Religious Sisters will gratefully accept a generous offering of frozen turkeys which will be used for Thanksgiving dinner and meals throughout the year. Sacred Relics of the Saints Exhibition
BARRINGTON/TIVERTON/WEST WARWICK —Relics of the saints will visit Rhode Island parishes. St. Luke Parish, 108 Washington Road, will host a teaching and exposition of sacred relics on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m.; the Church of the Holy Ghost, 316 Judson St., will host the relics on Friday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m.; and Saints John and James Parish, West Warwick, on Saturday, Nov. 20, at noon. Father Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross will be present with an extraordinary Vatican collection of over 150 relics, some as old as 2,000 years. Among the treasures will be relics of St. Joseph, St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Faustina Kowalska. There will also be a portion of the Veil of Our Lady and one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross in the world. Those in attendance will be able to examine and venerate each relic. Divine Mercy Series
PROVIDENCE — St. Pius V Church, will host a video and discussion series on Divine Mercy at Caffe Lepanto in the church hall, Roslyn Street entrance. The series will take place at 12:30 p.m., on November 16: “God’s Master Plan;” November 23: “Mary’s Knight;” and November 30: “The Final Question.”

Legion of Mary’s 100th anniversary
PROVIDENCE — Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Legion of Mary at the Cathedral of SS. Peter and Paul at 1 p.m. on November 21, the feast of the Presentation of Mary. All are welcome. The Legion of Mary was founded by Frank Duff and a group of devoted lay people in Dublin, Ireland, on Sept. 7, 1921, the birthday of Mary. The celebration of the centenary will include exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a Holy Hour of Adoration and Benediction. A collation will follow.
