Christmas Open House at Gabriel’s Trumpet
COVENTRY — Gabriel’s Trumpet, 477 Washington St., will hold a Christmas Open House on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., featuring nativity and Advent items, ornaments, boxed cards, books, jewelry, rosaries, crucifixes, children's items and more. St Joseph Parish plans Christmas Bazaar
CENTRAL FALLS — St. Joseph Parish, 391 High St., will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16 from noon – 5 p.m., in the parish center. The bazaar will include Polish food, pastry, special raffles, children’ games, photo with Santa and much more. Free Admission. All are welcome.
Bazaar and Flea Market
MANVILLE — St. James Church, 45 Division St., will hold a Parish Bazaar and Giant Flea Market on Saturday, Nov. 16, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Father Brindamour Church Hall and the Father Brouillette Center. Crafts such as wreaths, centerpieces, handmade ornaments, handcrafted jewelry, crochet and knit goods will be for sale as well as gifts for adults and children and baked goods featuring items such as cakes, pies, fudge, cookies, etc. There will be several raffles, penny social, split the pot, gift certificates and gift baskets. Cash raffle tickets can be purchased in advance at the parish office. Little Sisters to hold annual Turkey Drop
PAWTUCKET — The Little Sisters of the Poor are requesting donations during their annual Turkey Drop at Jeanne Jugan Residence, 964 Main St. Each day from Nov. 17 to 23 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., the religious sisters will gratefully accept donations of frozen turkeys to be prepared for Thanksgiving dinner for the residents and for resident meals throughout the year. Annual Fay Rozovsky Lecture in Jewish-Catholic Dialogue
PROVIDENCE — On Monday, Nov. 18, 6 p.m., the annual Fay Rozovsky Lecture in Jewish-Catholic Dialogue, “Jewish-Christian Co-Production and the Threat of Radical Enlightenment in Eighteenth-Century Sephardic Amsterdam” will take place at in the Ruane Center LL05 Providence College. The lecture will be led by Dr. Benny Bar-Lavi, Inaugural Scholar-in-Residence in Jewish Studies and Jewish-Christian Relations. A reception with kosher options will follow. All are welcome. Candy Cane Bazaar
NORTH SCITUATE — St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, will hold a Candy Cane Bazaar on November 16, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and November 17, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will feature crafts, soaps, oils, penny social, baked goods, books, cash raffle with prizes totaling $10,000. St. John Paul II Parish Christmas Bazaar
PAWTUCKET — St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., in the St. Cecilia Church Hall will host a Christmas Bazaar on Friday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (ticket sales end at 1:30 pm). The bazaar will feature raffles, food, a silent auction and a variety of shopping including books, crafts, tools, plants, vendors and much more. The hall is handicap accessible. Surviving the Holidays: GriefShare Seminar
WESTERLY — If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, getting through the Advent and Christmas seasons can be very hard. The Surviving the Holidays GriefShare seminar can help you find your way through the difficult emotions you may be experiencing this time of year. At this meeting you will watch a video, be part of a supportive discussion group, and receive a guidebook with daily encouragement and helpful practices for your journey. You will also join in prayer with others who share your faith in Christ.
