Too often during Advent we focus only on Jesus Christ’s first coming over 2,000 years ago. However, the Church also asks us to anticipate his second coming as well during this season. St. Paul’s epistle to the Romans begins with 11 chapters chock full of deep theology. Chapter 12 begins his advice about how we are to live in response to these amazing truths of our Catholic faith. Attendees will focus on five concepts from this single chapter of St. Paul: humility, honor, hospitality, harmony and hope, and consider how to apply these concepts not only to the Advent season, but also to our lives year-round. The presenter will be Christine Rubinstein, a retired Christian psychotherapist, convert to the Catholic Church, and parishioner at St Patrick’s.
