The Wonder of Christmas Bazaar and Crafts Fair
NASONVILLE — The Wonder of Christmas Bazaar and Crafts Fair will return to the Shrine of the Little Flower, 35 Dion Drive, on Friday, Dec. 2, from noon - 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. This event features gourmet sweets and treats, handmade knits and winter gear, festive decor and gifts for the whole family, along with various raffles and prizes. ‘A Bit of Christmas Music’ event planned
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church will host Gary James Farias’ “A Bit of Christmas Music” on December 3, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., in the church hall. Farias will also be playing other music as well. The entrance fee includes coffee, tea and pastry. The kitchen will be open selling sandwiches, pizza, favas and chourico, and soft drinks. You may bring your own food and drinks if you prefer. The event will also include a raffle, 50/50 split the pot and silent auction.
Fraternal Benefit Seminar scheduled
BARRINGTON — Are you in the market for insurance or retirement annuities? St. Luke’s Church, 108 Washington Road, and its Knights of Columbus Council #16053 will host a Fraternal Benefit Seminar on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 7 p.m., in the church main hall (basement). The seminar highlights the Knights of Columbus insurance and retirement annuity products, including Permanent Life Insurance, Universal Life Insurance, Term Life Insurance, Retirement Annuities, Long-Term Care, and Disability Insurance. These products are available to members of the Order and their families. All current Knights of Columbus members and member-eligible men (i.e., practicing Catholic males, age 18 or older, are eligible to join the Knights) are welcome to attend, along with their families. Sweet Spirit of Christmas
BRISTOL —The 14th Annual Sweet Spirit of Christmas, sponsored by the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Rosary/Altar Society will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 4 – 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec.11, 8 a.m. - noon, in the Monsignor Lolio Parish Center. The event will feature homemade assorted cookies, holiday candies and more. Tickets for the annual Christmas Raffle and the Holiday Baskets will be sold after Masses on the weekends of November 26 and 27, and December 3 and 4 in the back of the church, as well as at the Sweet Spirit of Christmas event.
Bristol County Chorus to perform at St. Mary’s Church
BRISTOL — The Bristol County Chorus will present their 41st annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 11, at St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood St., 3 p.m. The Chorus, accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra, will be conducted by Director of Music Nicholas Rocha. Presenting, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” the program features festive, colorful holiday music, including excerpts from Handel’s “Messiah,” and Dan Forrest’s arrangement of “The Huron Carol.” Masks are not required for the event, but are recommended; the chorus will not be masked. Tickets are available locally at the George Hail Library in Warren, at Paper Packaging and Panache in Bristol, and online through brownpapertickets.com.
