Young Adult Adoration and Confession
PROVIDENCE — Join the Diocese of Providence Young Adult Community for an Advent night of prayer and fellowship! Adoration will begin on Friday, Dec. 6, 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s on Broadway in Providence. Christmas Bingo
EAST PROVIDENCE — Sacred Heart School will host a Christmas Bingo to benefit student scholarships on Saturday, Dec. 7. This event will take place in the hall at Sacred Heart Church, 118 Taunton Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m. The kitchen will be open and will be selling a variety of food. There will also be raffles and a special bingo to end the night.
St. John the Baptist annual Bazaar
PAWTUCKET —St. John the Baptist Church, 69 Quincy Ave., will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7 from noon - 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event will feature themed basket raffle, money raffle, jewelry, custom t-shirts, plants, Christmas decorations, Grandma’s attic, baked goods, food and much more.
Family Advent Celebration
NORTH EASTON, Mass. — All are welcome to attend the Family Advent Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Father Peyton Center, 518 Washington St., N. Easton. Christmas craft, family sing-along and pizza from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. The evening event, from 6- 8:30 p.m., next door at St. Joseph Chapel, will be a benefit Christmas concert by Catholic musician Marie Miller. St. Augustin and St. Mary Christmas Extravaganza
NEWPORT — Sister parishes St. Mary’s and St. Augustin’s will host their Christmas Extravaganza bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 -to 4 p.m. at St. Augustin’s Church hall (basement of church, corner Carroll Ave. & Harrison Ave.). The event will feature craft and gift vendors, baked goods, raffles, kids’ activities, tasty and well-priced breakfast and lunch offerings, and a silent auction. Bristol County Chorus to perform at St. Mary’s Church
BRISTOL —The Bristol County Chorus will present their 43rd annual Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 8 at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., 3 p.m. The chorus, accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra, will be conducted by Director of Music Nicholas Rocha. Presenting “Come All Ye Faithful,” the program features festive holiday music for young and old. Some of this year’s holiday favorites include “Christmas Time is Here,” “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” and a special arrangement of “O Magnum Mysterium” written and conducted by Mr. Rocha. Sounds of the Season
PROVIDENCE — The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra will present a Concert entitled “The Sounds of the Season” at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Providence on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. The Concert, featuring the music of Advent and Christmas, will benefit the Diocese of Providence’s “Keep the Heat On” fund, which assists poor and low-income families with utility expenses. Tickets for the concert may be purchased by calling the Cathedral office at 401-331-2434. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the concert.
Mass scheduled for Our Lady of Guadalupe
PROVIDENCE — The diocesan Mass for Our Lady of Guadalupe will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Prior to Mass, the evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Holy Rosary, confession, and a serenade to Our Lady. Day of Recollection
PROVIDENCE — The Cathedral Advent Day of Recollection is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and concluding with the 5 p.m. Mass in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, Providence. Knights, community to assist Veterans at Christmas
EAST PROVIDENCE — Operation ROVAC (Remembering Our Veterans At Christmas) will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 at East Providence Council, 3200 Pawtucket Ave., from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The 47 councils and 9 assemblies will gather donations of brand-new clothing and toiletries, bring them to East Providence, and deliver them on Sunday, December 15 to the R.I. Veterans Home. Knights will fill a 20 UHAUL panel truck with our donations to sustain the clothing and hygiene needs of the residents at the Veteran’s Home for a calendar year.
Christmas Bazaar
CHEPACHET — St. Eugene Church,1251 Putnam Pike, will hold its Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The bazaar will include food, crafts, Christmas ornament making, music, special raffles, fun and more.
Sweet Spirit of Christmas
BRISTOL — Sweet Spirit of Christmas, sponsored by the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Rosary/Altar Society, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 4 - 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 15, 8 a.m. – noon, in the Monsignor Lolio Parish Center. Festive trays of homemade assorted cookies, holiday candies and tickets for the Christmas raffle will be for sale. Quarts of homemade pasta sauce will also be sold. Tickets for the annual Christmas raffle and the holiday baskets will be sold after Masses on the weekend of December 7 and 8 as well as at the Sweet Spirit of Christmas event.
A Bit of Christmas Music
WARREN — On December 14, St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will welcome Gary James Farias performing Christmas music and requests from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The small admission fee includes coffee, tea, and pastry. The kitchen will be open selling food and soft drinks. If you can, please bring a pastry to share. There will be an opportunity to participate in a raffle, silent auction, and 50/50 split the pot.

PROVIDENCE — Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., will hold a Christmas Boutique Corner on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. There will be Christmas items, accessories, clothes, jewelry, toys, unique items and handmade crafts. All proceeds will benefit the parish Saint Vincent de Paul Ministry.
Christmas Concert
