PROVIDENCE — On Oct. 6, St. Pius V School and Church will honor Miriam Sullivan Sloan ‘37 of Warwick, with the 2019 Veritas Award during their annual Veritas Mass.

The Veritas Award is given to one St. Pius V alumnus each year for his or her witnessing to the truth of the Gospel in personal and professional life.

Sloan will receive the award in honor of her parents, William Joseph and Louise Claire Sullivan, and in gratitude for their love and sacrifice in providing her with a Catholic education.

Sloan and her family have left a lasting legacy on the State of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Catholic Community through their good works and good will. St. Pius V School and Church welcomes the Rhode Island Catholic Community to join them in honoring Sloan and her family for this very special occasion.
