Holy Hour for Vocations
EAST GREENWICH — Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 3rd St., will host a Holy Hour for Vocations on Friday, June 26, at 7 p.m. The evening will be presided over by Most Rev. Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., Bishop of Providence, in preparation for the upcoming priesthood ordinations. All are welcome to attend this time of prayer for Rev. Mr. Mateusz Puzanowski and Rev. Mr. Vincent “Jay” Zizza.
Priesthood Ordinations
PROVIDENCE — Most Rev. Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., Bishop of Providence, will celebrate Holy Mass with the Rite of Ordination on Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. During the rite, Rev. Mr. Mateusz Puzanowski and Rev. Mr. Vincent “Jay” Zizza will be ordained to the Sacred Priesthood. The public is invited to attend this solemn occasion.
National Eucharistic Pilgrimage
PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence will host the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage “One Nation Under God” from Tuesday, June 30, to Thursday, July 2. Discernment Camp
KINGSTON — The University of Rhode Island Catholic Center, 90 Chapel Way, will be the site for the annual Quo Vadis Discernment Camp from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2. Hosted by the Vocations Office of the Diocese of Providence, the retreat is open to young men in grades 6 through 11 and will include Mass with Bishop Bruce A. St. Timothy Church Vacation Bible School
WARWICK — St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., will hold its Vacation Bible School from Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7. The program is open to students currently in grades K-5. PROVIDENCE — The Ignatian Volunteer Corps has openings for volunteers age 50 and older to start in the Fall of 2026. The program requires volunteers in Providence and SE Mass schools and social service agencies to serve 1 to 2 days per week for 10 months.
