TO THE EDITOR:
Voting is a heavy responsibility. The people we select as our leaders have the wide-ranging task of leading us through good times and challenging times. Deciding to vote or not vote for a candidate based on one issue, namely abortion, is short-sighted and irresponsible. I strongly object to the message contained in letters by A.H. Liddle and Paul F. Caranci. The Beatitudes clearly outline the obligations we have to our fellow man and our current President has broken every one. I don’t dare try to list all the horrors he has inflicted on our country and the world. While Joe Biden has his failings, I have confidence he will try to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and care for the sick and elderly, while working with other countries to conquer this pandemic and bring peace to our world.
