The Right Reverend Abbot Matthew Stark, O.S.B, of Portsmouth Abbey celebrated the Mass, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin was the homilist. The Mass included music from two choirs: The Latin Schola was led by Jacob Stott and the gospel choir, above, was led by Joyce Braboy.

Holy Name of Jesus parish in Providence celebrated its 125th anniversary with a special Latin Mass Sunday. The Right Reverend Abbot Matthew Stark, O.S.B, of Portsmouth Abbey celebrated the Mass, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin was the homilist. The Bishop along with several other priests present at the Mass, blessed the parish’s outdoor altars and the Lady Chapel next door. He also received an offering of first fruit from members of the African Catholic Women’s Guild of Holy Name.
