La Salette Shrine events

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, 947 Park St., will hold the following events: a “Bethany Nights” concert, performed by John Polce, January 25, 7:30 p.m.; a Mass for the Unborn, January 26, 4:30 p.m.; and a healing service, January 27, 2 p.m. The healing service will be conducted in English by La Salette Father Andre Patenaude, and will include the Eucharist, teaching, music and the opportunity to be anointed and prayed over individually. Franciscan Missionaries prayer service

NORTH PROVIDENCE — The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., will hold an ecumenical prayer service for Christian unity, January 27, 3 p.m., in the Holy Family Chapel. The service, whose theme is “Prayer without Ceasing,” will be lead by Bishop Peter Weaver, Bishop of the United Methodist Church. Following the service, a reception will be held in Lourdes Hall. Catholic Schools Week Mass

WARWICK —The staff, students and parents from Sts. Francis, Kevin, Rose and Peter schools will gather on January 30, 11 a.m., at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., to celebrate the annual Catholic School Week Mass. Father Barry M. Meehan, pastor of St. Timothy Church, will serve as the main celebrant, and Father Edward J. Wilson Jr., pastor of Sts. Rose and Clement Church, will be the homilist. Providence College presents ‘Agnes of God’

PROVIDENCE — The Department of Theater, Dance and Film of Providence College will present “Agnes of God,” January 25-27 and February 1-3, in the Angell Blackfriars Theater, Smith Center for the Arts. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m.; Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. The popular play focuses on the duality of the spiritual and rational life embodied in Agnes, a novice nun blessed with the “voice of an angel” who has secretly given birth to a child. Lecture series on St. Paul

Knights’ fundraiser breakfast

NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Knights of Columbus, Council No., 2011, will host a benefit breakfast, January 27, 8-11:30 a.m., at the council hall, 1265 Tower Hill Road. Proceeds will benefit the Narragansett Bay Works camp 2008, which will bring more than 400 volunteers and advisors to Rhode Island this summer to make free repairs to the homes of elderly, disabled and low income families who meet qualifications.
