Catholicism in the 21st century: What should Catholics be doing in theology today to prepare for tomorrow?

PROVIDENCE — Bishop Richard G. Henning cordially invites you to a conversation on the future of the Church with the rector of his Roman alma mater, the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas – Angelicum, on Saturday, Feb. 3, 6 – 7 p.m., in McVinney Auditorium, 43 Dave Gavitt Way. The presentation will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by an interactive question and answer session with Father Thomas Joseph White, O.P. Father White is a world-renowned theologian, having received from the Master of the Dominican Order the distinguished title of Master of Sacred Theology in 2023. He is the author of numerous popularly acclaimed works of theology, including “The Light of Christ: An Introduction to Catholicism,” “The Trinity: On the Nature and Mystery of the Triune God,” and “The Incarnate Lord: A Thomistic Study in Christology.” This is a free event, but we do ask that you RSVP to Tim McCaig, diocesan director of Stewardship and Development at 401-865-6851 or email tmccaig@dpvd.org.
