On Tuesday, Jan 30, Sister Virginia Ptak, F.M.M., celebrated her 100th birthday at a party attended by the members of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary USA Province located in North Providence. Sister Ptak entered the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary September 15, 1944, pronounced her first vow March 19, 1947, and professed her final vows on March 19, 1950, in North Providence. During the festivities, Sister Margaret Culloty, F.M.M., described Sister Ptak as, “A tapestry of memories, woven tight, a faithful Franciscan Missionary of Mary, blooming still, a rare and ageless flower.” From left, Margaret Culloty, F.M.M.; Sister Virginia Ptak, F.M.M.; and Sister Lois Anne Perrera, F.M.M.
