40 Hours Devotion of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
WESTERLY —40 Hours of Devotion of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Immaculate Conception Church, will take place from December 6 to December 8 at 7 p.m. There will be Triduum Masses to prepare and celebrate the Feast with three guest priests, Msgr. Albert Kenney, Father Nathan Ricci and Father Alfred Ricci, to lead us in prayer.

St. Eugene’s Christmas Bazaar
CHEPACHET —  St. Eugene’s Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, in the church hall, 1251 Putnam Pike. The event will include baked goods, penny social, gift baskets, straw games, jewelry, crafts, white elephant and more.

Bristol County Chorus to perform at St. Mary’s
BRISTOL — The Bristol County Chorus will present their 42nd annual Christmas concert on Saturday, Dec. 9, St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood St., at 7 p.m. The chorus, accompanied by a professional chamber orchestra, will be conducted by Director of Music Nicholas Rocha. Presenting, “HARK” – the program features festive, colorful holiday music and Dan Forrest’s arrangement of The Huron Carol. ‘Day at The Bay’
RIVERSIDE —St. Mary Academy – Bay View invites 8th graders to stop by for a “Day at the Bay.” Register at www.bayviewacademy.org to spend a day with current Upper School students and experience the extraordinary things that happen at Bay View. Tours for girls and their families to visit the campus and meet with some administrators. St. Augustine Knights to host book sale
PROVIDENCE — The St. Augustine Chapter of the Knights of Columbus will hold a book sale at the parish, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., on the weekend of December 9 and 10. Author Paul Caranci will have several of his titles available including his new release, “In The Shadows of Vietnam: The Gallant Life of Fr. Phil Salois.” The sale will take place following the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, and all Sunday Masses at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Christmas Boutique at Holy Ghost Church
PROVIDENCE — Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., will host a Christmas Boutique Sale on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event will include gifts, Christmas items, raffles and fun games for kids. The kitchen will be open.

Diocesan Mass scheduled for Our Lady of Guadalupe
PROVIDENCE — The diocesan Mass for Our Lady of Guadalupe will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, with Bishop Richard G. Henning as celebrant and homilist. Prior to Mass, the evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with the Holy Rosary, confession, and a serenade to the Virgin. Sounds of the Season
PROVIDENCE — The Gregorian Concert Choir and Festival Orchestra will present a Concert entitled “The Sounds of the Season” at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. The Concert, featuring the music of Advent and Christmas, will benefit the Diocese of Providence’s “Keep the Heat On” fund, which assists poor and low income families with utility expenses. Tickets for the concert may be purchased by calling the Cathedral office at 401-331-2434. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the concert.

‘Las Mañanitas’ to Our Lady of Guadalupe with Bishop Henning

Sweet Spirit of Christmas
BRISTOL — The 15th Annual Sweet Spirit of Christmas, sponsored by the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Rosary/Altar Society will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 4 – 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. - noon in the Monsignor Lolio Parish Center, 127 State St. The event will feature festive trays of homemade assorted cookies, and holiday candies for sale. Quarts of delicious homemade pasta sauce will also be sold. Don’t be late, these sell out quickly. Also, for sale will be tickets for The Annual Christmas Raffle, with the top prize of $1,000.00 which will be drawn on December 17.

Christmas Concert
WOONSOCKET — St. Joseph’s Church, 1200 Mendon Road, will present a free Christmas Concert for all ages on December 17, 3 p.m. The concert will feature The French Ritual for Blessing an Organ, the Sunday Quartet, the Choir, as well as the Providence Youth Guitar Ensemble. A goodwill offering for music education will be gratefully accepted.

Lessons and Carols
WARWICK — All are invited to celebrate the anticipation of Our Lord’s Nativity. On Wednesday, Dec. 20, 6:30 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel, 610 Jefferson Boulevard, hear the Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope choir sing The Festival of Lessons and Carols, a beautiful and festive tradition that began in the 19th century. Through scripture readings (or “lessons”), hymns, carols, and prayers, the Festival tells the story of the Fall, the Messianic promise, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission.

Diocese of Providence Pilgrimage to the National Eucharistic Congress
INDIANAPOLIS — Join the Diocese of Providence as we journey to the first Eucharistic Congress in 83 years. Parishes from every corner in our nation will gather at the feet of Jesus, boldly anticipating a new Pentecost at the 10th National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. All are invited to attend July 17-21, 2024 at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana. The Diocese of Providence trip includes transportation to and from Indianapolis, with local transportation to and from the Congress, 5 nights at the hotel, and the cost of admission to each day of the Congress. Vocations College Retreat
