Archbishop-elect Richard G. Henning installed Father Michael J. Najim as the pastor of St. Philip Parish in Greenville on Sunday, Sept. 1.
Father Najim, who served at St. Philip’s from 2001 to 2004, described his return to the parish as providential, saying, “My heart is filled with joy being pastor of this wonderful parish. My journey started here…and then the Lord in His Wisdom brought me back.” Speaking to Father Najim after this homily, Archbishop-elect noted that the priestly mission is fruitful when it is lived as a partnership with Christ, with the Church, and with the local faithful.
