The Guest Editorial of June 9, by Father Douglas J. Spina, “America is called to live its Judeo-Christian Roots,” is one of the finest and most memorable columns I have seen in your pages.
As so many try today to “separate Church and state,” Father Spina instead blends them into the beautiful tapestry that is the America of years past which so many of us remember and still love.
Note to the priests of the diocese: If you hit a mental block on your homily writing, you might just read this column to your congregation. July 2-3 would be perfect!
