Bishop Richard G. Henning kicked off the Diocese of Providence's 2023 "Keep the Heat On" campaign on Nov. 28 at Christ the King Parish in Kingston, where the pastor, Father Jared Costanza, presented the bishop with a check for $25,000, an amount raised by the parishioners. The heating assistance program, launched by Bishop Thomas J. Tobin in 2005, is entering its 19th season. The program has contributed more than $4.1 million in heating assistance to 17,100 Rhode Island families and individuals to keep warm during the winter.
