Members of the Knights of Columbus council at St. Luke’s Church in Barrington display fruits of the parish’s generosity, freshly “harvested” for families in need. The backpacks are filled with school supplies and headed to grade school students served by the Joslin Community Center and St. Charles Borromeo Church, both in Providence. This year’s drive is the fifth and most successful yet. In years past, around 60 backpacks were the norm. For school year 2023-24, St. Luke’s parishioners came through with enough kindness and caring to fill and deliver 100 back-to-school backpacks.
