Learning the meaning of love at Bishop McVinney

On Thursday, Sept. 21, Bishop Richard G. Henning celebrated Mass for the Bishop McVinney School community at St. Michael Church in Providence. The bishop, who wore the pectoral cross of the school’s namesake Bishop Russell McVinney, told the students that his “hope and prayer for each and every one of you is that in your time here at school you will learn through Jesus the meaning of love and practice it.” He also took the time to visit with board members and school alumni and visited with students and teachers in their classrooms.
