Saint Joseph Church to hold All Day Confessions for 21st Year
WOONSOCKET — All-Day Confessions will be held at Saint Joseph Church, 1200 Mendon Road, on Saturday, March 16, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The day provides local Catholics the opportunity to go to confession on a day specifically designed to alleviate any uneasiness they may have about confessing. The all-day confessions event is designed to address the fears that many people have about returning to this sacrament after years away. Volunteers will be available to answer questions, written instructions will be provided, and up to four priests will be available at all times. Over a dozen local priests in total take part in the day. Each confessional is equipped for both screen and face-to-face options. Saint Patrick’s Dinner
WARREN — The St. Mary of the Bay M25:35 Ministry to Refugees & Immigrants will host a fundraiser on March 16. A traditional Irish boiled dinner will be served including corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Live Celtic music will be provided. Tickets include appetizers, drinks, salad, Irish soda bread, dinner and dessert. A vegetarian meal option of broccoli alfredo is available, as well as a children’s meal. Good Friday Walk slated through streets of Narragansett
NARRAGANSETT — St. Thomas More Parish invites all parishioners and friends as the cross is carried though the streets of Narragansett as a re-enactment of Jesus’ final journey to Calvary, noon on Good Friday, March 29 at St. Thomas More Church on 53 Rockland St. The walk will be outside via Ocean Road, along the sea wall and under the Narragansett Towers. 39th annual Good Friday Walk
PAWTUCKET — The 39th Good Friday Walk will take place on March 29, 9 a.m., beginning with a blessing at St. John the Baptist Church Hall, 69 Quincy Ave., and end back at the church hall to enjoy a delicious lunch of grilled cheese, chowder, and water. Proceeds from this annual four mile walk through Pawtucket and Central will support Project Hope/Proyecto Esperanza, Hospitality House Soup Kitchen, and Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, aiding the elderly and those with low income or working poor with food, rent, utilities, and prescriptions.
