St. Mary Academy – Bay View made a historic debut at the Rhode Island Career and Development Conference (RICDC) this year, marking the first chapter for the school’s newly established DECA program. Competing at Johnson & Wales University against more than 700 students, all ten Bay View participants achieved top-25 finishes in their respective categories—a testament to their rigorous preparation in marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship. Leading the charge, Theodora Minca ‘27 secured first place in Principles of Finance and Yiling Brady ‘27 earned second in Principles of Entrepreneurship. Launched through the initiative of senior Lauren Adamonis and guided by advisor Hannah Pease, the chapter has quickly become a powerhouse for leadership and professional growth.
