Lenten Meals at Holy Ghost Church
TIVERTON — Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson St., will host Lenten meals on Friday, March 24 and 31. Eat in or take out, no reservations or pre-order is required. Serving lunch and dinner from noon to 7 p.m. Offerings include traditional fish and chips with coleslaw, roll and butter or baked haddock with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Tenebrae at St. Dominic Chapel
PROVIDENCE COLLEGE — Tenebrae at St. Dominic Chapel, Providence College on March 30 at 8 p.m. This Lenten service includes scripture and choral music sung by the college's Liturgical Choir. Join us in contemplating our Lord's Passion as we prepare for Holy Week.

Eucharistic Revival Lenten Mission by Bishop Henning

Five First Devotions
PROVIDENCE — Please join the St. Augustine Council of the Knights of Columbus, Men of St. Joseph, and Relevant Radio for the Five First Devotions on Saturday, April 1, at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., beginning with the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 3:45 – 5 p.m.; the Rosary in music and song at 4 p.m.; private meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary at 4:30 p.m., and Mass at 5 p.m. The final First Saturday Devotion of 2023 will be held on May 6.
2023 Rev. Robert J. Randall Conference
PROVIDENCE — The Spring 2023 Rev. Robert J. Randall Conference entitled “The Sacramental Imagination in Film” will be held on Saturday, April 1, in the Ruane Great Room on the Providence College campus. The conference is free and open to the public. Father Kenneth Gumbert, O.P., professor of Film Studies in the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Film, will deliver the lecture “The Sacramental Imagination in Classic Hollywood Cinema: John Ford’s Fort Apache vs. Howard Hawk’s Red River.” Mary Pat Kelly, author of Martin Scorsese: A Journey, will present “Outward Signs: Catholic Images in Mean Streets and The Irishman.” And Friar Sixto J. Castro, O.P., Rev. Robert J. Randall professor in Christian Culture, will speak about “The Sacramental Imagination in Malick's The Thin Red Line.”
Palm Sunday Breakfast
WOONSOCKET — The Woonsocket Knights of Columbus will host a Palm Sunday Breakfast on April 2, from 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., in the Good Shepherd School gym (St. Joseph’s Church) 1200 Mendon Road. The Knights will serve scrambled eggs, home fries, French toast, sausages, baked beans and coffee, tea and juice. Children under 5 eat for free. Tickets may be purchased through any council Knight, St. Joseph’s parish office and also will be sold at the door. All proceeds from this breakfast will benefit Knights of Columbus charities.
Pentecost Sunday Taize’ Service
EAST FREETOWN, Mass. — St. John Neumann Church invites all to their Pentecost Sunday Taize’ Service. The theme is “For whom are you looking?” This service is a combination of songs, reflections and readings. It takes place Sunday, April 2, at 7 p.m. The Church is located on Route 18 – 157 Middleboro Road in East Freetown, Mass. Take Chace Road exit off Route 140.
‘40 Cans for Lent’
BRISTOL — Knights of Columbus Bristol Council #379 is holding a “40 Cans for Lent” program for families, from now through April 9. All donations can be placed in the large chest in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, 141 State St., entryway.
Catholic Summer Symposium at Portsmouth Abbey
PORTSMOUTH — The Catholic Summer Symposium will be held June 9-11 at Portsmouth Abbey. This event is New England’s premier gathering of Catholics interested in the intersection of faith and culture. This year attendees will be exploring the theme “To Cultivate and to Toil: On Profession and Vocation,” featuring talks by Ross Douthat (New York Times), Tom Hibbs (Baylor) and more. Bishop Thomas J.
