Encounter School of Identity

Chorus of Westerly Performance

PROVIDENCE — The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, 30 Fenner St., will host the Chorus of Westerly for a performance of Edward Elgar’s “The Dream of Gerontius” on Saturday, April 18, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Based on the poem by Saint John Henry Newman, the dramatic musical work follows a soul’s journey from death to purgatory.

Book Signing at Gabriel’s Trumpet

COVENTRY — Gabriel’s Trumpet, 477 Washington St., will host a book signing for local authors Paul Caranci and Father Christopher Mahar on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event features presentations of “History’s Greatest Mystery” and “Finding God in Suffering,” followed by a discussion and questions from participants.

Scouting America Troop #1 Pancake Breakfast

PORTSMOUTH — Scouting America Troop #1 and the Knights of Columbus Rooney Council #3618 will hold a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the St. Barnabas Social Hall, 1697 East Main Road. The menu features pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries and beverages. Live Music at St. Thomas the Apostle

WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave., will feature a live performance by Gary James Farias on Sunday, April 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be sandwiches and soft drinks for purchase, and the opportunity to buy split-the-pot and raffle tickets.

Chesterton Academy Spring Concert

WARWICK — Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope, 610 Jefferson Blvd., will hold its spring concert, “Journey Through Time,” on Friday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held in the academy chapel and feature a curated selection of sacred, classical and traditional choral pieces performed by the school choir. Knights of Columbus Baby Shower Breakfast

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage

PROVIDENCE — The Diocese of Providence will host the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage “One Nation Under God” from Tuesday, June 30, to Thursday, July 2. World Youth Day 2027

PROVIDENCE — The Secretariat for Evangelization and Pastoral Planning will not organize a formal group for World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, but Providence pilgrims are invited to join groups from the Diocese of Fall River or the Archdiocese of Boston. Adoration at Aldrich

WARWICK — Aldrich Mansion, 836 Warwick Neck Ave., will host “Adoration at Aldrich,” an outdoor evening of worship, on Thursday, May 28, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., will lead candlelight prayer and worship before the Most Blessed Sacrament. The event will feature music beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by Adoration at 7 p.m. and light refreshments. Attendees are asked to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs. In case of rain, the event will move to St. Timothy/St. Rita Parish. Registration is required as space is limited to 400 participants.

MANDATUM: Forming the Next Generation of Saints
