Rosary at St. Romuald Chapel
WAKEFIELD — All are invited to pray the Rosary and Litany of Our Lady at St. Romuald Chapel, 61 Atlantic Ave., weeknights at 5 p.m. throughout the month of October. All are welcome.
Blessing Of Animals
PROVIDENCE — St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., will hold a Blessing of Animals on Saturday, Oct. 5, 10 a.m. in the parking lot. All are invited to participate. This event is sponsored by the St. Clare of Assisi Secular Franciscan Fraternity in honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
Upcoming events at Mary Mother of Mankind
NORTH PROVIDENCE — Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., will offer a blessing of the pets in the church parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. The parish will host a bingo night to benefit the religious education program on Friday, Oct. 18. The kitchen will be open at 5 p.m., and games begin at 6 p.m. Zumba classes will take place every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., in the parish hall. All are welcome and free admission. Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress
RHODE ISLAND — The Diocese of Providence will host a Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress from Saturday, Oct. 5 through Friday, Oct. 11. The Eucharistic Rosary Congress will travel to a different parish for each 24-hour period. Locally, seven parishes in the diocese will host one day of Eucharistic Adoration each. The Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress is a week-long period of intense, around-the-clock prayer consisting of Perpetual Adoration and hourly Rosary, offered in a spirit of reparation. Human Life Guild Day
PROVIDENCE — Human Life Guild Day will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Mass will be celebrated by Most Rev. Thomas Tobin, D.D., Bishop Emeritus of Providence, homilist. Following Mass, the bishop will present the Human Life Guild Awards. PROVIDENCE — St. Joseph’s Church, 92 Hope St., will hold a clothing sale on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The sale will feature coats, boots, shoes and accessories, vintage items, wedding and designer gowns and more.

Life Chain
STATEWIDE — The Diocese of Providence Office of Life and Family Ministry will hold their annual Life Chain Sunday on Respect Life Sunday, Oct. 6, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., in a variety of locations across Rhode Island. Everyone is invited to participate in this annual, peaceful and visual statement of solidarity of Christians of the Catholic faith and other denominations in Rhode Island. Bible Timeline Series at St. Pius V
PROVIDENCE — The Bible Timeline Series with Jeff Cavins (on dvd) will continue to meet on Tuesdays after the noon Mass at Saint Pius V Church, 240 Eaton St., in the church hall. The workshop will begin at 12:45 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: October 8, 15, 22, 29 and November 5, 12, 19, and 26.
‘Life in the Spirit’ seminar series

CUMBERLAND — St. Joseph Church will hold a giant flea market on Saturday, Oct. 12, in the church hall, 1303 Mendon Road. The event will feature more than 20 vendors, raffles, snack bar and bake sale.
St. Joseph Church to hold fundraiser during Newport’s Broadway Street Fair
NEWPORT — St. Joseph’s Church, which is located at the corner of Mann Avenue and Broadway, will be a food vendor during Newport’s Broadway Street Fair on Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon to 4 p.m. The menu will feature chili, hot dogs, grilled cheese, chips, and Father Hiep’s famous spring. White Mass Celebrated for all Medical Professionals

St. Francis de Sales Parish Yard Sale
NORTH KINGSTOWN — St. Francis de Sales Parish, 381 School St., will hold its annual indoor yard sale on Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 26 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., rain or shine. Items include jewelry, housewares, toys, games, electronics, CDs, furniture, books, and baked goods. The kitchen will be open for refreshments.
Chesterton Academy Open House

Fall Dance
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave. will host a Fall Dance on October 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. There will be a small admission fee at the door which includes coffee and tea. Experience Lourdes in Wakefield
WAKEFIELD — There will be a free Lourdes Virtual Pilgrimage Experience at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. This live interaction experience will be guided by Our Lady of Lourdes Hospitality, North American Volunteers, the first Lourdes Hospitality of the Americas. Not everyone can travel to Lourdes, but the Virtual Pilgrimage can make it possible to experience this same peace and healing.
