St. Joseph Polish Fest
CENTRAL FALLS — St. Joseph Parish, 391 High St., will hold its annual Polish Festival, September 6 – 8; Friday, Sept. 6 (6 p.m.-midnight); Saturday, Sept. 7 (6 p.m.-midnight); and Sunday, Sept. 8 (noon - 5 p.m.) The festival will include Polish and American food, games of chance, children’s entertainment and live music. Admission is free and all are welcome.
St. Ambrose Church plans Clambake
ALBION — St. Ambrose Church, 191 School St., will host its annual clambake on Sunday, Sept. 8, noon – 4 p.m. The event will feature clam cakes and chowder, dynamites, hamburgers and hot dogs, cold drinks, raffles, entertainment by Steve Anthony, raffles, bake sale and garden table.
Pop-up Ladies Closet
PROVIDENCE — Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., will host a pop-up Ladies Closet featuring women’s clothes, shoes, jewelry, handbags and accessories on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Weather permitting it will be held outside. Inclement weather it will be in the church basement. Proceeds will support the Saint Vincent de Paul food pantry.
Afternoon of music
WARREN — St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 550 Metacom Ave., will host its last free afternoon of music on September 8. Gary Farias will be performing from 1-4 p.m., outside. The kitchen will be open selling sandwiches, malasadas and beverages. If you prefer, you may bring your own snacks. There will be an opportunity to purchase 50/50 split-the-pot and raffle tickets. Bring your own chair or one can be provided.
UNBOUND Prayer Ministry Team
WESTERLY — Unbound is a ministry of healing at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., in which a trained prayer team prays with individuals to assist them in overcoming the spiritual obstacles they encounter in their path of Christian discipleship and take hold of greater freedom in Christ. Individuals who come for Unbound prayer share their personal story related to the area where they sense they need freedom and are led by the prayer team through a series of prayers based on the Five Keys of Unbound: First Key: Repentance and Faith; Second Key: Forgiveness; Third Key: Renunciation; Fourth Key: Taking Authority; Fifth Key: The Father’s Blessing. Free Bible Study about the Holy Eucharist

NEWPORT — In honor of the Kennedy’s 71st wedding anniversary, one can re-live that special day, September 12, 1953, when Jacqueline Bouvier married then-Senator John F. Kennedy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newport. The 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Return to Camelot presentations on Thursday, September 12, will feature vintage film clips, a live performance of organ music and hymns from the wedding ceremony, and the “first dance” played at the reception at Hammersmith Farm, Jackie’s childhood summer home in Newport. Following the presentations, visitors may tour the church, view Pew #10, where Jack and Jackie prayed while attending Mass in Newport, and see the kneelers used during their nuptial Mass. National Day of Remembrance
STATEWIDE — On Saturday, Sept. 14, pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at the gravesites of aborted babies and other memorial sites dedicated in their honor for the tenth annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. Solemn vigils will be held at these sites to commemorate the more than 65 million children who have lost their lives to legal abortion since 1973, and to remind our society of the humanity of the unborn child. Priests’ Retirement Collection Weekend

West Bay Chorale Invites Singers
WARWICK — The public is invited to attend the West Bay Chorale’s open rehearsal on Monday, Sept. 16 and 23, at St. Kevin’s Church, 333 Sandy Lane. The evening will begin with a social meeting at 6 p.m. on September 16, followed by registration at 6:30 p.m., and full rehearsal at 7 p.m. Current and new singers interested in joining the Chorale may join and learn details about the upcoming concert season. The Red Mass — for State’s Legal Community
PROVIDENCE — Most Rev. Today, the Red Mass gathers judges, lawyers, public officials, law faculty, students and graduates from across the state of Rhode Island to join in thanksgiving to Almighty God, prayer for a successful year, and fellowship with the legal
community.

SPRED Mass and Picnic
EXETER — The annual SPRED Mass and picnic will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m., with Mass at noon, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 84 Exeter Road. The Mass will be offered in memory of all of the deceased members of SPRED and loved ones. Ignatian Volunteer Corps seeks volunteers
PROVIDENCE — The Ignatian Volunteer Corps is currently seeking volunteers aged 50 and older to start in the Fall of 2024. Each volunteer commits to serve one to two days per week for 10 months at an agency working with individuals struggling with poverty and marginalization. Volunteers also engage in monthly opportunities for spiritual growth in the Jesuit tradition. Placement sites are located in the Providence, Worcester, and Boston areas. Mother of Life Gala
LINCOLN — The Catholic, pro-life pregnancy resource center will host its annual fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 24, 6 p.m. at Kirkbrae Country Club, 197 Old River Road. The event features a cocktail hour and appetizers, a brief retrospective of the 40-year history of the organization, a sit-down dinner, keynote speaker Linda Ruf (CEO of JPII Life Center in Austin, TX), a paddle raise, music and dancing.
